KULLU

Kullu is the famous tourist place of Himachal Pradesh. Himachal is called the land of fairs and festivals. Dussehra fair of kullu is one of the famous international fair. In kullu there are many famous tourist places.
Many of them are Manali, Kullu city, Bhunter, Manikaran etc. Kullu is located on the banks of the Beas River in the Kullu Valley. Kullu valley is sandwiched between the Pir Panjal. Handloom Kullu Shawl is the best treasure one can look for. Kullu Shawls are made of many natural fibers such as pashmina, sheep-wool, angora etc. There are so many famous temples in kullu district. Many of them are Raghunath temple, Bijli Mahadev, Manikaran temple, Hidimba Mata temple etc.

Manali
Manali is situated on the bank of beas river. It is the beautiful place in the kullu district. The small town was the beginning of an ancient trade route to Ladakh and from there over the Karakoram Pass on to Yarkand and Khotan in the Tarim Basin.
Manali literally means the 'Home of Manu'. Manu is the mythological character who is supposed to have survived when the world was drowned in Flood. He then came to Manali and recreated human life. Thus, the area of Manali is sacred and Hindus treat the temples over here as pilgrimage
Manali has beautiful sight seeing. Hidimba Mata temple is famous temple in Manali. Rohtang pass is another tourist place in Manali.

Manikaran
Manikaran is located in the Parvati Valley between the rivers Beas and Parvati, northeast of Bhuntar in the Kullu District of Himachal Pradesh. Manikaran is famous for hot springs. It is at an altitude of 1760 m and is located about 45 km from Kullu.
This small town attracts tourists visiting Manali and Kullu to its hot springs and piligrim centres.An experimental Geothermal Energy plant has also been set up here. Manikaran is a pilgrimage centre for Hindus and Sikhs. The Hindus believe that Manu recreated human life in Manikaran after the flood, making it a sacred area. It has many temples and a gurudwara.There are temples of Lord Rama, Krishna, and Vishnu. The area is well-known for its hot springs and its beautiful landscape.
